Rafael's grandfather hosted the first one in Niterói in 1970 with a rented television carried into the yard, and there has been a Bittencourt watch party for every tournament since — through two moves and three generations. The commission was explicit: the mark has to survive being reused every four years, so keep the year off it. Built out of the suite's own B, it can be re-struck in 2031 and 2035 from type alone.

What this year leaves behind

The archive is the permanent private record, kept in the household's own account: the moodboard both directions were chosen from, the nine approved pieces exactly as they were handed over, the sixty-four people who came, and the photographs afterwards. Nothing is re-typed into the next one — 2031 opens from this.

Eight tables, named for host cities
